Services

Library cards are available to residents of St. Maries and Benewah County. Children over 6 are encouraged to obtain their own cards with parental consent. Please bring your card with you each time you visit.

Hundreds of paperback books are available without a library card. You are welcome to take a book from the exchange section. We only ask that you return the paperback or donate one of similar quality and interest.

We welcome donations of usable books and videos, with the reservation that the donation may be declined if not appropriate for the use of the library.

The library also accepts books if the donor has no objection to their being sold for the benefit of the library (if they are duplicates and are not needed for the collection.)

Also, for a small donation, pick up a bargain book from among library duplicates of donations from patrons.

It is the responsibility of the borrower whose card was used to check out library materials to return the materials by the due dates. Fines will be charged for materials not returned on time.
